Welcome to Norfolk-On-Line!
Norfolk is an unspoilt county of Outstanding Natural Beauty located
in the East of England. Norfolk's extensive history spans many
centuries and has a strong Royal connection. It is a place where you
can enjoy a gentle pace of life and really unwind and get back to nature.
Norfolk’s coastline borders the North Sea and The Wash with acres of open
skies, endless beaches and undulating countryside with no mountains or
valleys to limit the horizon. Norfolk’s beaches always offer an empty
hideaway where you can escape. Even on busy days you can feel you have the
place to yourself. Some of the best nature reserves in the country
(including Titchwell, Snettisham and Cley) are found right here in Norfolk.
It has a peaceful air that’s not easy to find these days. It’s no wonder
artists and writers keep coming to Norfolk.
Norfolk is largely rural with a low population density and there is a noticeably higher population in the more developed areas of the county: the county town of Norwich, Great Yarmouth, Kings
Lynn and The Broads. Along the main trunk road A149 from Kings Lynn is
the famed Sandringham. Continue along the A149 and you will encounter
other Norfolk gems such as Heacham, Snettisham and Hunstanton. Each
town and village has a fantastic history extending back centuries.
