Cycling in and around Dersingham

Visit Norfolk's stunning Sunset Coastline

Norfolk has a host of cycle routes including the 59 mile Norfolk Coast cycleway from King's Lynn to Cromer and the Peddar's Way.  Dersingham, lying adjacent to the picturesque Sandringham Estate, offers acres of beautiful Norfolk countryside and woods to ride your bikes through.  Cycling through Dersingham village is also enjoyable.  There are countless country lanes to enjoy in and around other Norfolk towns and villages such as Hunstanton, Heacham, Snettisham, Ringstead and Sedgeford - just to name a few.

Norfolk countryside and villages have a gentle landscape perfect for cycling for all levels of cyclist.  Take in the wide skies, open countryside or enjoy a cycle along the coast as the sun sets.  Much of the Peddars Way is open to cyclists. The Norfolk Coast Path is not.  Two long-distance cycle routes pass through Hunstanton: National Cycle Route 30 (Norfolk Coast Cycleway) and National Cycle Route 1.  For a list of Norfolk cycle paths and information about free cycling maps, see Sustrans: Norfolk. For a map of where you cannot cycle click here.

You don't even have to bring your own bikes on holiday.  There are many places to hire cycles along the way.  In Heacham,  A E Wallis offer a cycle hire service as do nearby Bircham Windmill.   Bircham Windmill even provide cycling routes to follow for 1 hour rides, for 2 hour rides, or all day. Trailer bikes, children's trailer and child seats can also be provided.
