Festival Players Pantomime

Hunstanton Community Panto - Robin Hood - photo by Kate DunbarFestival Players Pantomime is a community project specifically to preserve the Annual Christmas Pantomime

The Hunstanton Panto is played by the community for the community.  It was created when the long running annual Princess Theatre Panto was axed in 2010.  Thanks to a team of  “panto angels” and John Giller community spirit prevailed and resulted in an original script, lavish costumes and the creation of Hunstanton Woods as a setting for Robin Hood – Norfolk style!

Although the traditional pantomime has once again returned to The Princess Theatre (starting Christmas 2015 with Aladdin) The Hunstanton Panto has become very much part of the community and continues to do its own panto every Christmas in the Hunstanton Town Hall.

Performances have include:

  • The Shoe Maker and the Elves (2015)
  • Hansel & Gretel (2014)
  • The Frog Prince (2013)
  • Pinnochio (2012)
  • Puss in Boots (2011)
  • Robin Hood (2010)

Auditions/rehearsals commence in September prior to the Christmas panto programmes.

Hunstanton Panto is run entirely by volunteers and is sponsored wholly by ticket sales for attendance at annual pantos.
