The Spinney – Open Public Space for Entertainment

The official opening of The Spinney as a redeveloped open public space project was held on Saturday, 26 April 2014 following a £300,000 make-over to provide a focus for events. West Norfolk Mayor Elizabeth Watson and her counterpart from Hunstanton Elaine Clutton cut the ribbon to officially open the square and an afternoon of family entertainments was enjoyed by all.

Booking Information to Note

  • Anyone wishing to use The Spinney must contact Resort Services in advance – turning up on the day to perform or make use of the area cannot be accommodated.
  • Depending on the type of event, if someone wishes to come along and perform at The Spinney then there should be no charge involved.  Similarly, there is no charge for charity stall and events. However, renting the space to display advertising for example car companies etc would incur a fee.
  • Anyone wishing to use The Spinney must have public liability insurance, and will need to provide Resort Services with a detailed risk assessment as a minimum requirement.
  • Larger events / activities may require a full event plan and road closure arrangements.
