As most parents will find, it does get harder to inspire teenagers to want to attend a Christmas panto and recently I have been in that arena myself.  In the past few years I have let them off lightly but this year I made them attend TWO on the promise that this would be the last time.  Since my boys will be 16 and 14 next year it does seem right that they have more say. He’s Behind You! Oh No He’s Not! Oh Yes He Is!

Pantomime season is in the air as the Christmas season draws nearer and we in West Norfolk are blessed – yes truly blessed – when it comes to pantomime. In 2010 the pantomime was cancelled in Hunstanton never to be seen again BUT as time has gone on Hunstanton now has not one but TWO pantomimes in 2015.  There is also the pantomime in Kings Lynn at the Corn Exchange.  So in West Norfolk we have THREE PANTOMIMES to enjoy this festive season. Hansel & Gretel’s Great Adventure in Hunstanton

This Christmas holiday, I elected to visit the Hunstanton Pantomime (now in its fifth year) for the matinee performance on Monday, 29 December 2014.  What did I find? Family fun, fun, fun all the way and excellent value for money too. An enthusiastic – almost – full house were treated to “Good Morning, Good Morning” beautifully sung by Nanny (Sharon Yates) as a show opener. Panto time is here and “Hansel and Gretel’s Big Adventure” is written and directed by the talented John Giller once again.
