St Edmunds Church in Hunstanton is all decked out in an array of colour this bank holiday weekend. Vestments and floral arrangements depicting the churches liturgical year are on display from Saturday 28 May through to Monday, 30 May 2016.
Tour around this beautiful and historic old church and learn about the roles of the church hierarchy from bishop to priest or deacon and the variety of garments worn in the numerous religious rituals carried out throughout the year.
The concept of the event is a variation on a traditional Flower Festival and, whilst entry is free, it is hoped that visitor donations will help to grow the fund for essential repairs to the church wall which is in need of urgent repairs. Displays have been sponsored by The Princess Theatre, Hunstanton Town Council, Scent With Love, Hunstanton Rotary Club and Hunstanton Gardening Club.
So whether it is a rain or shine bank holiday weekend why not drop in and visit this glorious church. You will be most welcome and you too can enjoy the beautiful architecture and the colour both inside and out!
