In 2009, the first golf hotel in the west of Norfolk opened in Heacham. Heacham Manor Hotel's Championship length 18 hole golf course has been designed to incorporate the natural features of the area of important landscape it lies within. With two rivers and 4 lakes to negotiate the course manoeuvres between links and parkland styles and affords views of The Wash. In addition to this new 18 hole course their adjoining sister resort (Searles Resort Golf and Country Club) has a mature 9 hole course, with excellent driving range, putting green and clubhouse facilities. This makes Heacham Manor an ideal venue for golfing groups and societies. A resident golf professional is also on hand to provide any necessary tuition.
Hunstanton Golf Club offers a championship links course. Royal West Norfolk Golf Club, Brancaster (7 miles east of Hunstanton) - links course founded in 1892, part of which gets cut off at high tide! Tel: 01485 210223.
Middleton
Hall Golf Club provides a challenge for golfers of all abilities.
A floodlit driving range with covered bays and extensive putting greens
and practice areas are available for members and visiting golfers are
also welcome. The modern clubhouse has a comfortable lounge area, a
fully licensed restaurant and a sun terrace offering spectacular views
of the surrounding countryside. In addition, excellent changing
facilities are available.
